The conservative “war on women,” fabricated by Planned Parenthood, is truly the “vast left-wing conspiracy.” Parenthood is a misnomer. Its war on women is 330,000 abortions a year while immutably opposing fetal ultrasounds, which would allow women to visually bond with the fetus as a viable person — particularly in cases of late-term abortions — and perhaps choose life. That would truly be pro-choice.
While debates over federally defunding Planned Parenthood rage on, its president, Cecile Richards, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton continue perpetuating the myth that millions of women will lose access to services like mammograms, when in fact, Planned Parenthood isn’t legally permitted to perform them — it can only provide referral services.
All non-abortion Planned Parenthood services, which it has reduced each year since 2004 while taxpayer contributions rose to $530,000,000 in 2014, are covered under Obamacare and Medicaid.
Nine-thousand clinics throughout the country provide more comprehensive services and greater health care access than Planned Parenthood’s facilities. Additionally, the Center for Responsible Politics found that Planned Parenthood diverted $700,000 in health care to liberal Democrats in the 2014 election cycle.
Planned Parenthood’s atrocious practice of late-term abortions and gruesome sale of fetal body parts are subjects for another letter. But it’s compelling to note that the Unborn Victims Act of 2004 terms a fetus as “a child in uterus,” and many state laws deem the death of a fetus during the murder of a pregnant woman a double homicide, vitiating Planned Parenthood’s claim that unborn fetuses are merely non-entities.
